Certificate Program

FILM ACTING BAY AREA, by consensus "the best and most comprehensive" film acting school in Northern California, is now offering a CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION in film acting, upon completion of its 8 core classes:

  • Film Acting I: Intro to Film Acting
  • Film Acting II: Intermediate Level
  • Advanced Film Acting (#1)
  • Advanced Film Acting (#2)
  • Improvisation for Camera
  • Dynamic Audition Techniques
  • Career Management & Marketing for Actors

Our faculty, in close consultation with film industry professionals in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, has carefully tailored these classes to provide you a strong foundation in film acting, and prepare you for a professional career in the film industry.

PRIVILEGES: While attending these classes, you will enjoy the extraordinary casting opportunities our school provides in movies, tv, webisodes and commercials, as well as having free and unlimited access to our casting service Post to Cast. You will also be automatically invited to our unique Industry Showcase class, upon receiving your certificate.

DURATION: You can complete the certificate program in 1 year (5 terms), depending how many classes you take each term. You can start it at any of the 5 terms: Fall, Winter-1, Winter-2, Spring or Summer.

  • "Film Acting I" thru "Advanced Film Acting (#2)" should be taken in order
  • Improv, Audition and Career classes can be taken in parallel with the above
  • You can take time off from the program and return to it at any time

PREREQUISITE: A strong desire and commitment to complete coursework in a professional environment. No prior acting experience/training is necessary to begin the program with "Film Acting I". Students with prior experience/training and wanting advanced placement will be required to audition.

TUITION: $2000 for 8 classes, with the certificate awarded upon completion. This is a 25% discount from taking these classes individually and without the benefit of the certificate. The $2000 can be paid in two installments: $1000 at the time of enrollment in the program; the second $1000 upon completion of the first four classes.
